This website is a collection of experiences from travelers all over the world.

In many parts of the world, the price of transportation is not fixed. Travelers are often taken advantage of because they do not know the proper fares that should be charged to travel from Point A to Point B.

While we do not begrudge the locals a living, we feel that there should be greater transparency in that fares are reasonable for both tourists and locals alike. After all, most tourists also have financial constraints, and should not be looked upon as walking moneybags.

We are looking for other travelers to make a contribution of their travel knowledge to our site. It doesn't matter if information on a particular route has already been posted. If you have traveled it, we want it!

To contribute, please add a comment below with the following details:
1) Date traveled - so that we can keep this information updated
2) From - please include the country/state if applicable
3) To - please include the country/state if applicable
4) Mode of transport - taxi, bus, or anything else
5) Company - especially for bus companies
6) Price originally quoted - in the local currency
7) Price that you eventually paid - in the local currency
8) Comments - any bargain tactics that worked for you
